Knowledgeable & Friendly Dentistry with a Natural, Holistic Approach
Our natural, holistic approach is evident in all of our services. We use non-toxic, natural products as much as possible, and we offer biocompatibility testing on all materials that go into your mouth to prevent possible allergic reactions. When you have a chronic oral health condition, such as gum disease or frequent tooth decay, we perform extensive diagnostics to get to the bottom of the issue, and we work to treat the root cause of the problem, along with its symptoms.
Research has shown that gum disease can be related to health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and even cancer. Dr. Schultheis uses effective holistic methods in the treatment of gum disease, not only getting the infection under control but also addressing any underlying dietary issues that may be causing or contributing to the condition. We also have other holistic dental treatments that contribute to overall health. Our patients’ health is very important to us.
We deliver a wide array of cosmetic dentistry services to improve your smile, including full smile makeovers. We use biocompatible materials, such as tooth-colored porcelain and tooth-colored non-toxic dental composite. Thanks to our state-of-the-art CEREC® dental CAD/CAM system, we can provide beautiful, biocompatible crowns, veneers and bridges—in a single visit.
Dental implants are the most lifelike option for tooth replacement, and with proper care they can last a lifetime. Dr. Schultheis and our experienced specialists provide full dental implant treatment—from start to finish—in our offices. Using 3D imaging, computerized treatment planning and surgical guides, our team places implants with precision and accuracy during a minimally invasive procedure. For patients who are sensitive to metals, we offer metal-free ceramic implants in addition to traditional titanium implants.
We provide metal-free teeth straightening with Invisalign and ClearCorrect. Both systems use a series of clear aligners to gradually move teeth into their desired positions. The aligners are removable and most patients find them comfortable to wear.
If you have been told you need a root canal, you can come and see Dr. Schultheis for a second opinion. In most cases, she is able to avoid the need for root canal treatment. Dr. Schultheis uses state-of-the-art natural techniques, including ozone treatment, to disinfect teeth. Ozone gas penetrates deeply into the tooth enamel and kills off the bad bacteria, while also calming the nerve. Teeth are often able to heal naturally after this treatment.
Heavy metals contained in mercury amalgam fillings can leach into the body and cause toxic stress that can contribute to serious health problems. We use strict safety protocols to remove metal fillings comfortably and with minimal toxic exposure. We can replace metal fillings using non-toxic, biocompatible dental materials during the same visit.
If you have broken-down or missing teeth, our doctors can restore your smile to full health and beauty. Our specialist doctors includes an oral surgeon and a prosthodontist—a specialist in complex dental restoration. Having our in-office specialist team enables us to effectively treat even the most difficult cases.
We use natural, minimally invasive methods for treating gum disease, including laser therapy. The dental laser selectively removes the diseased gum tissue and stimulates healing. Use of the laser makes gum disease treatment more comfortable and results in faster recovery.
Dr. Schultheis uses the revolutionary TruDenta® system to effectively treat chronic headaches, migraines and TMJ pain—without the use of drugs or surgery. Depending on the patient, treatment requires anywhere from one to twelve visits. Most patients experience relief after just a few visits.
Dr. Schultheis provides Myobrace® preventive orthodontic treatment that corrects jaw and tooth misalignment in children aged six to seventeen. Myobrace treatment addresses the root cause of the problem and often reduces or eliminates the need for braces.
If you have a dental emergency, we will do everything we can to see you on the same day and get you out of pain. We will first make you comfortable, and then diagnose and treat the problem.
Thanks to our in-house oral surgeon, we are able to perform any type of tooth extraction that may be needed, including complicated wisdom teeth extractions. Our doctors use special techniques to ensure the extractions are non-traumatic, and that healing is fast and creates minimal discomfort.
For patients who need extra help with dental anxiety, we provide oral and IV sedation. We also offer natural, drug-free relaxation using supplements and low-level electrical stimulation that mimics calm brainwaves.
We are proud members of the Eco Dentistry Association and we make great efforts to ensure our offices put the least possible burden on the environment. We use non-toxic materials and cleaning products, and we take extensive measures to recycle and minimize waste.
